And Mohamed Salah had shone in front of Manchester United, in the confrontation that the Reds decided, by seven clean, by scoring two goals and making the same, in the meeting that brought them together last Sunday, in the 26th round of the English Premier League.

"Every individual achievement should never be underestimated or ignored," Dalglish told Liverpool's official website.

He added: "The most important thing is that individual awards are great but you can't beat team awards. Within a team's success there are always individuals who make contributions, but it's great for Mo, he's been a great servant to the club and may he last a long time."

And he continued: “Mohamed Salah achieved a wonderful achievement, and he was a great player for this club and I hope he continues.”

He concluded sarcastically: "If Mohamed Salah wants to play in the legends match against Celtic legends this month, there is no problem, we will put him in the team."
